Statement by India under Agenda Item 6 : Adoption of UPR Outcomes of Croatia at the 46th Session of the Human Rights Council (22 February – 23 March 2021) delivered by Mr. S. Senthil Kumar, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India (Geneva, 17 March 2021)

Madam President,

India welcomes the delegation of Croatia for the adoption of the report of the Working Group on its 3rd Universal Periodic Review that was held on 6 November, 2020. 

2. The review saw a substantive participation with as many as 86 member states taking the floor and making a total of 224 recommendations. India appreciates the constructive engagement by the delegation of Croatia during the entire review. Accepting 194 recommendations, including 3 from India shows Croatia’s strong commitment to the UPR process. 

3. While recommending the adoption of the report on its UPR, we warmly congratulate Croatia for a successful review and wish them all success in efforts for implementing the accepted recommendations.
