Mr. Vice President,

India warmly welcomes the delegation of Spain and thanks them for presenting its National Report.

2. We commend the progress made by Spain since its second UPR. We welcome the progress made under the National Strategy for the Social Inclusion of the Gypsy Population 2012–20, particularly the improvement in the literacy levels of the Roma community. We recommend that access for this population further improves in housing, health and employment.

3. We appreciate the progress made in combating the violence against women, especially domestic violence since our recommendation in the previous UPR cycle. We recommend further strengthening of the implementation of the positive legislations enacted in this regard.

4. We wish the delegation of Spain all success.

Thank you, Mr. President.
