Mr. President/Vice President,

India welcomes the delegation of Cote d’Ivoire for the adoption of the report of the UPR Working Group on its 4th cycle of the Universal Periodic Review held on 5 November 2024.

2. The review saw substantive participation with 98 delegations taking the floor and making a total of 273 recommendations. We appreciate the constructive engagement of the delegation of Cote d’Ivoire during the entire review, which reflects their commitment to the UPR process.

3. India appreciates that as many as 226 recommendations have been accepted, including accepting 2 recommendations made by us.

4. While recommending the adoption of their UPR report, we congratulate the delegation of Cote d’Ivoire on a successful review and wish them success in their efforts towards implementing the accepted recommendations.
