Mr. President,

  1. India extends a warm welcome to the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We acknowledge the various initiatives undertaken by Bosnia and Herzegovina at the domestic level to protect and promote human rights. We commend the adoption of the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest and the amendments to the Law on the Human Rights Ombudsman, which represent significant steps towards strengthening governance and human rights protection.
  2. In the spirit of constructive engagement, India makes the following recommendations to Bosnia and Herzegovina:

(a) Further strengthen its efforts in capacity-building to detect and investigate the smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings.

(b) Increase the employability of women through comprehensive labor market policies, targeted training programs, and the development of accessible, quality social and healthcare services.

(c) Continue efforts to eliminate all forms of discrimination in education, ensuring equal access and opportunities for all.

Thank you, Mr. President.
