Mr. President,

1. We extend a warm welcome to the delegation of San Marino. India notes and commends the steps taken by San Marino in promoting and protecting human rights, including the adoption of new policies, becoming parties to international instruments, and the domestic implementation of international treaty obligations.

2. We appreciate San Marino's ongoing reforms in its judicial and prison systems, as well as its effort to enhancing the participation of women in political life and decision-making processes. We also recognize the measures undertaken by San Marino to combat discrimination against women, gender-based violence, and domestic violence. These efforts, through a combination of legislative actions, awareness campaigns, and prevention projects, are encouraging.

3. In the spirit of constructive dialogue, India makes the following recommendations to San Marino:

(a) Continue to combat discrimination in all its forms, ensuring that human dignity and equality are upheld across all sectors.

(b) Strengthen the protection of labour rights, with special consideration given to the specific challenges faced by female workers.

4. We wish the delegation of San Marino continued success in its efforts to promote and protect human rights.

Thank you, Mr. President.
