Statement by India under Agenda Item 6: Adoption of UPR Outcomes of Monaco at the 56th Session of Human Rights Council (18 June – 12 July 2024) delivered by Ms. Anupama Singh, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India,

Mr. Vice President,

India warmly welcomes the delegation of Monaco for the adoption of the report of the Working Group on its 4th cycle of the Universal Periodic Review held on 29 January 2024.

  1. The review saw substantive and constructive participation with 59 delegations taking the floor and making a total of 147 recommendations.  We appreciate the constructive engagement of the delegation of Monaco during the entire review, which reflects the strong commitment they attach to the UPR process.

  2. We appreciate that as many as 92 recommendations have been accepted by Monaco, including one recommendation made by us. 

  3. While recommending the adoption of their UPR report, we congratulate the delegation of Monaco on a successful review and wish them success in their efforts for implementing the accepted recommendations.
