Madam Vice-President,

 

We warmly welcome the delegation of Tunisia for the adoption of the Working Group’s report on its UPR undertaken on 11 November 2023.

  1. India appreciates the constructive engagement by the delegation of Tunisia during the entire review process.

  2. The review saw active participation and constructive engagement with 112 delegations taking the floor. Accepting 192 recommendations, including all 3 from India,out of a total 283 recommendations that Tunisia received, shows the strong commitment that Tunisia attaches to the UPR process.

  3. While recommending the adoption of the report, we congratulate the delegation of Tunisia for its successful review and wish it success in implementing the accepted recommendations.
