Madam President,

We warmly welcome the delegation of Federated States of Micronesia for the adoption of the Working Group’s report on its UPR undertaken on 18th January 2021.

2. The review saw active participation and constructive engagement with 50 delegations taking the floor and making 154 recommendations. It is commendable that as many as 141 recommendations have been accepted by the Federated States of Micronesia. It reflects the strong commitment that the Federated States of Micronesia attaches to the UPR process and implementation of its human rights obligations. We appreciate that the Federated State of Micronesia has accepted all the 3 recommendations made by India.

3. While recommending the adoption of the report, we congratulate the delegation of Federated States of Micronesia for its successful review and wish it success in implementing the accepted recommendations.
