Madam President,

We warmly welcome the delegation of Latvia for the adoption of the Working Group’s report on its UPR undertaken on 14thMay, 2021.

2. The review saw active participation and constructive engagement with 87delegations taking the floor and making 244 recommendations. It is noted that Latvia has accepted 145 recommendations fully and 12 recommendations partially. We appreciate that Latvia has accepted both the recommendations made by India.

3. While recommending the adoption of the report, we congratulate the delegation of Latvia for its successful review and wish it success in implementing the accepted recommendations.
