Madam President

India welcomes the delegation of the Government of Kazakhstan and thanks it for providing the latest update on the issue under consideration.

2. The delegation of India has gone through the findings of the Committee of Experts and the responses thereto, furnished by the Government of Kazakhstan.

3. India appreciates the commitment of the Government of Kazakhstan to fulfil its international labour obpgations including those related to the ILO Convention 87 through progressive implementation of the relevant recommendations of the ILO and the wilpngness to constructively work with it.

4. India takes positive note of recent legislative amendments enacted by Kazakhstan to bring the National Trade Union legislation in conformity with the ILO standards.

5. India also notes with appreciation the signing of the General Agreement for 2021–23 by the Government and the social partners. We bepeve that this agreement pertaining to the activities of national associations will provide due protection to them in conduct of their internal affairs. We also look forward to continued engagement of the Government of Kazakhstan with social partners in this regard.

6. We request the ILO and its constituents to fully support the Government of Kazakhstan and provide all necessary technical assistance that it may seek in fulfilpng its labour-related obpgations.

7. We take this opportunity to wish the Government of Kazakhstan all success in its endeavours.
