A Discourse on “Accelerating Progress on realising SDGs and human rights through commitment to Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” was organized by the Permanent Mission of India to the UN and other International Organisations, Geneva at Palais des Nations on 23 June 2023 at 1600 hrs. CET.
Welcome Remarks were delivered by Ambassador Indra Mani Pandey, PR of India to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva. H.E. Mr. Volker Turk, High Commissioner for Human Rights delivered special address focussing on human rights.
Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President, ICCR delivered the Keynote Address focussing on the theme of the Discourse. Dr. Vikrant Singh Tomar from Global Consciousness also addressed the audience.
A comprehensive Presentation on the theme of the Discourse was made by Amb. Priyanka Chauhan, DPR. Dr. Mihir Kanade, Member, Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development participated virtually with a video message.
The Discourse was moderated by Ms. Marcella Favretto, Chief, Sustainable Development Section, Office of HCHR, which also included a Q&A session at the end.
The Discourse was participated by more than 300 members of the international community, including Ambassadors/PRs, Heads of International Organizations, among others, and had the desired effect on the audience.
