An Evening With Ricky Kej

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating the historic milestone of 75 years of India’s Independence, an event titled “An Evening with Ricky Kej”, 3 times Grammy Award Winner and internationally acclaimed Indian Music Composer and Environmentalist, who has won over 100 music awards in 20 countries, was organized. Amb. Indra Mani Pandey, PR of India to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva welcomed and thanked Ricky Kej, Shri Bharat Lal, Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission of India, who was present on the occasion and members of the Indian community for their presence and wished them a great evening with Ricky Kej. PR highlighted the vibrant Indian cultural ethos, which binds members of the diaspora with India, Indians and the Indian Mission in Geneva. There was a Firechat round in which Ricky, who has performed in over 100 countries of the world and serves as the United Nations "Goodwill Ambassador" focusing on Climate Change, Land Desertification and Drought and Refugees, spoke about his journey in the music arena and his passion about environment with Ms. Barkha Tamrakar, First Secretary in the Mission. There was a Question & Answer session at the end of the event. Shri Sunil Achaya, Consul General of India in Geneva delivered Vote of Thanks.
